Try out dragon boating in Penticton

Free clinic goes Saturday, Aug. 13 at Skaha Lake

Have you always wanted to try dragon boating but weren’t sure how to start?

This Saturday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. the community is invited to come try dragon boating for free at Skaha Lake. With no registration required, anyone aged 16+ is welcome.

No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided.

“This is a great way to have some fun in the sun and meet some new people,” said the Penticton Dragon Boat Festival organizers who are putting on the clinic.

Introductory lessons are also available and starting soon, with online registration. For more information contact www.pentictondragonboat.com.

Last year, when the Penticton Dragon Boaters held a free clinic on Skaha Lake, they had record numbers try.

The full return of the Penticton Dragon Boat Festival is expected to be big after having to cancel last year.

The festival brings in dozens of teams from around Canada to participate in the weekend-long races that go Sept. 10-11.
