More than 100 Trout Creek residents participated in the Amazing Race and Music event at Powell B each on July 21.
Funding for the event came from the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan’s Neighbourhood Small Grant program.
A total of 10 teams of eight people each had to complete 14 challenges, solve riddles, learn the history of Trout Creek, dance with a stranger and participate in other activities.
Each team required a senior and a child to encourage multi-generational interactions.
After the race, two live bands performed at the beach. The event also included a community potluck with local ingredients.
Organizers are hoping to host the event again next year.
