Tree chipping raises funds for Summerland dry grad

Initiative brings in more than $2,400

The Summerland Fire Department raised more than $2,400 for the Summerland Secondary School Dry Grad through its tree chipping service.

The money was raised through the tree chipping service organized by the fire department to support the dry grads.

Until Jan. 9, Summerland residents could have their holiday trees picked up and chipped for composting by the Summerland Fire Department.

Fire chief Rob Robinson thanked the public for donating to this project. He also thanked the municipality for providing the use of the tree chipper.
