Ever wanted to know just how plants make their way around the world with no visible means of transportation such as in wings or feet?
The answer will be unveiled Aug. 13 at the latest version of The Science Lab at the Penticton Museum and Archives from 10 a.m. to noon.

During that time kids from ages eight to 11 will have an opportunity to “get up close and personal” with plants in the Biology Things workshop.
They will also learn how plants defend themselves without fists and why they are so important to all life on earth.
Participants will also create some artwork using plants and should come prepared to do some painting.
Younger siblings are welcome to attend with a participating adult. No registration is required and drop ins are welcome, a $2 donation per participant is suggested.

Families with budding scientists or engineers are encouraged to come to The Science Lab where they will have an opportunity to tinker, experiment and create and explore scientific principles and “apply to solving real-world problems.”
The final session will be Tuesday Aug. 20 and will be Physics Things also starting at 10 a.m.
