The van will be out every day till Sept. 8, meeting with visitors and locals at markets, beaches, picnic sites, campgrounds, festivals and other locations.

David Hull, executive director of the Summerland Chamber of Commerce, said the van is assisting in its tourism services.

“This is a really positive step forward in Visitor Information Services here in Summerland,” he said. “We are bringing it to the people.”

He added that sponsorship from Parker Dodge and Jafa Signs helped to make the van project possible.
