Summerland pioneer family home remains today

SUMMERLAND MUSEUM BEER FAMILY HOME In 1909, the Summerland Riding Club met near the Albert ‘Bert’ Beer house at the corner of what is today Rosedale Avenue and Jubilee Road, looking east. The house, which still exists, is across the street from Summerland Builders Mart. Beer owned the Beer Shoe Store and on Jan. 29, 1916, he advertised “the largest shoe sale ever held in Summerland.”
