Summerland IGA will host a donation event for the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre.
The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the goal of raising $5,000 for the food bank between food donations and barbecue proceeds.
During the day, donations will be accepted and pre-made food bags will be available at the store.
Taylor Arkesteyn of the food bank said there is an ongoing need for donations at the food bank.
