Summerland Health Care Auxiliary provides bursaries to high school grads

Thrift shop has operated in Summerland for 61 years

The Summerland Health Care Auxiliary executive met with their 2020 bursary recipients on July 31 at Memorial Park to congratulate them on completion of their secondary education in Summerland and to wish them success in their future endeavours in the health care field.

Bursaries are supported by the proceeds of the Summerland Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Shop.

The thrift shop has operated in Summerland for 61 years and the auxiliary gave $452,000 to health care services last year.

The thrift shop is open from 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and is always looking for volunteer support.
