SRM Concrete in Summerland recently provided 394 kilograms (868 lbs.) of food to the Summerland Food Band and Resource Centre.

The donation, on May 26, came one day after the food bank provided a wish list of items it needed.

“Our board and staff have learned over the years that all we have to do is ask and the community will respond to our needs,” said Hal Roberts, resource coordinator at the centre.
