With their new video series, Baldy Mountain Resort, plans to highlight how their ski area is for everyone.

“The characters are a great indication of the type of people you will meet on the mountain at Baldy. It’s a mix of ages, abilities, skiers and snowboarders. Everyone is always friendly,” said Andy Foster, general manager of Baldy Mountain Resort.

Four regulars to the resort, which is located near Oliver, have been recording themselves skiing, snowboarding and having fun all over the mountain. The title, The Baldy Bums, is a reference to the term ‘ski bum’ which is a person who prioritizes skiing over work. The four bums represent a broad demographic, but they all share a clear love for the snow.

The unique filming style will rely mostly on the bums filming themselves, and others, while they explore the mountain. Foster said the series also has content for those not interested in skiing or snowboarding

“The result is a professional video project filmed by regular skiers and snowboarders,” said Foster. “Everyone who’s ever skied or snowboarded will relate. It’s all about having a great time.”

For the video series, four episodes will be released, and the first is already available on the Baldy Mountain Resort Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages and at BaldyResort.com.
