Keremeos kicked off the holiday season with the return of the Light Up Parade, and this year it was bigger and better than ever.
Hundreds of people filled the sidewalks and parking spaces along Veterans Drive, with more sitting in their vehicles and safely distanced.
The parade itself was full of locals who took the Family and Friends theme to heart, with people from not just Keremeos but the surrounding communities joining in.
After the parade was finished, the Light Up celebration continued.
Hosted at the Similkameen Recreation Centre, activities went through the evening.
A fireworks display, Santa shooting some hoops, frozen chicken curling and more kept the festivities going.
The Lower Similkameen Communities Services Society, with the support of the MOSAIC program to cover the costs, served up hot pork and chicken tacos and jerky chicken on rice for free to warm people up in the cool weather.
