Penticton RCMP crams the kennel with donations from community

Plenty of pet supplies and cash donations were made to the local BC SPCA

The entire team of volunteers, RCMP officers, and Police Service Dogs at the Cram the Kennel event held at Cherry Lake Mall in Penticton, B.C. on Nov. 24.

The annual Cram the Kennel event in Penticton was another big success on Nov. 24.

The Penticton RCMP and the BC SPCA South Okanagan-Similkameen Community Animal Centre both thanked the community for their donations and support for the event. 

Held at Cherry Lane Mall, the community donated plenty of pet supplies and raised $2,120 in cash. 

"The Penticton RCMP and BC SPCA are grateful for the incredible community support and look forward to hosting more events to help animals in need," the RCMP said in a press release. 

The release also gave recognition is given to Cpl. Jason Goodfellow, handler of police service dog Dug”, and Const. Mike Richardson, handler of police service dog Reiko, for their demonstrations that entertained everyone.

Their efforts, along with their participation in the Penticton Police Dog Services unit, contributed to the event's turnout and sense of community spirit.
