The public is invited to sign their name on a structural steel beam of the David E. Kampe Tower at the Penticton Regional Hospital.

With construction reaching the halfway point, Interior Health wants to mark the milestone.

A drop-in beam signing event will be open to all South Okanagan community members at Penticton Regional Hospital on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A public Topping Off Ceremony will also be held the next day, on Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. featuring remarks from Health Minister Adrian Dix and representatives from Interior Health, the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional Hospital District, and the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation. To conclude the ceremony, the signed beam will be hoisted and placed in its permanent location in the David E. Kampe Tower.

Both events will take place at Penticton Regional Hospital, outside of the construction site, beside the South Parking Lot in front of Moog & Friends Hospice House. Signs will be posted to direct attendees.
