Employee of the Year award recognizes efforts made despite limited vision

Mirjana Komljenovic received the Disability Alliance of British Columbia’s Employee of the Year award.

The award was presented on Sept. 27 in Vancouver.

Komljenovic was nominated by her employer, Roch Fortin of Maple Roch.

Born with albinism, Komljenovic has limited vision and has had to use adaptive technology in order to work. She said the technology she uses today was not available a decade ago.
