FUNDRAISING EFFORT In past years, youth at the Summerland Asset Development Initiative have held a fashion show as a fundraiser. This year, on April 18, a banquet will be held. The evening includes live music and a live and silent auction.

A fundraising dinner on Tuesday will benefit the Summerland Asset Development Initiative’s Unity Youth Centre.

The youth centre, on Prairie Valley Road, provides numerous activities and programs for youth in the community.

The dinner, which will be held at Zias Stonehouse Restaurant, includes live entertainment, a silent auction and a live auction.

The auctioneer for the live auction will be Marty Van Alphen.

Piano during the dinner will be provided by Allan Crossley.

Youth from the youth centre will assist Zias staff in serving at the dinner.

Pat Lindsay, an organizer of the event, said Shannon and Claude Ferlizza of Zias and the staff at the restaurant deserve recognition for their part in the dinner.

The event will be held Tuesday, April 18. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner at 6 p.m.

While tickets have been selling fast, those still wishing to attend are asked to call Lindsay at 250-494-5256.
