Fenner House once served as hospital

From 1907 to 1914, Summerland’s first hospital was operated out of a house at the foot of Gulch Road

This photo shows the Fenner House, under construction.

The house was located at the foot of Gulch Road and served as Summerland’s first hospital from 1907 to 1914. The hospital was run by Mrs. Sinclair.

George Williams, standing in the doorway of Fenner House, was an early resident of Summerland.
