The annual Halloween show will be held on Oct. 2.

“Proceeds from these activities will be reinvested into improvements to the rodeo grounds facilities to benefit all community users,” Varchol said. The committee works in collaboration with the municipality of Summerland to plan and prioritize these activities.

Haugland added, “On behalf of our group, I would like to thank the District of Summerland for supporting improvements to the facility in 2021, which have included the installation of a manure containment area and spraying the arenas and surrounding areas for invasive weeds.”

The board encourages all in the community who have an interest in maintenance of the rodeo grounds facility to become a member of the committee, consider volunteering and participate in events and activities. Membership is free and available to equestrian and non-equestrian users and supporters of the facility.
