The event was organized by the Summerland branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

This year’s Canada Day activities included a pancake breakfast, a flag raising ceremony and activities and games for children.

In addition, a free barbecue and free Canada Day birthday cake were served to those who were in attendance.

Some of the funding for the celebrations came from the municipality of Summerland, the B.C. Ministry of Finace and Canadian Heritage.
