Expect the unexpected at the Penticton Art Gallery on Friday night.

The gallery is bringing back its “First Friday’s” this fall, starting with its music-themed session Oct. 7.

But event organizers are promising much more than just a night of music.

“This First Friday’s has a very special surprise in store that has to do with the old decrepit piano out back that some of you may recognize,” the gallery wrote on Facebook. “Let’s just say…if you have a little bit of pent-up aggression you might want to stop by and check out what we are up to.”

Those interested in participating are encouraged to bring their favourite instruments in support of the festivities.

Gallery tables will also be open, just in case anyone has any artistic adventures they’d like to work on during the event.

The event is free to all, with coffee and tea available by donation.

Festivities run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
