SUMMERLAND MUSEUM A CHERRY ORCHARD Sydney Albert “Joe” Liddell had a cherry orchard in Summerland, which he later sold to the McLachlan family. He also owned property west of Faulder, which he called Dingley Dell. Liddell enlisted in World War I, returned to Summerland after the war and settled in Garnett Valley, keeping his property as a bird and wildlife sanctuary. He died in Vernon in 1955.
