There are signs we are limping back to some normalcy with one of the first large conferences booked for Penticton.

Around 450 real estate professionals are expected to come together in Penticton June 22 and 23 at the inaugural Association of Interior Realtors Conference and Trade Show.

Taking place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre, the conference and trade show will feature the association’s Annual General Meeting and an informative and educational array of speakers as well as a large trade show.

Provincial health restrictions currently allow 50 per cent capacity for any event but Dr. Bonnie Henry hinted that could be eliminated by Family Day this month.

The South Okanagan Events Centre still has yet to be able to host a concert over the past two years. The first one scheduled to go ahead is Santana on April 2 followed by Alice Cooper and Buckcherry April 15 and ZZ Top April 24.

The SOEC did host the Harlem Globetrotters with a lot of success, even at 50 per cent capacity.
