As a newcomer to Summerland, I have been very impressed with the Christmas festivities.
Light Up, on Nov. 30, was spectacular. Main Street was lit up with white snowflakes and purple lights to accent, businesses were decorated and ready for Christmas shoppers, food trucks had amazing food, there were activities for children, the bands were amazing and fireworks to culminate the evening were breathtaking.
The wineries did a spectacular job with decorating and hosting for Light Up the Vines.
I am sure everyone had an enjoyable afternoon and evening.
The last event was the downtown wine walk on Dec. 14.
Businesses pairing with wineries is a great way to shop downtown and visit with neighbours while enjoying some wine tasting.
Everyone was in the festive spirit.
Summerland is truly magical at Christmas time.
