Summerland appears to be a community of story lovers.
Thank you to everyone who came out to pack the Arts Centre for our recent storytelling evening. The enthusiasm shown for all of the storytellers was amazing.
Huge thanks to Dianne Hildebrand and the Arts Council for the fantastic venue, Erick Thompson for the loan of his fancy microphone, Summerland Rotary who lent us their speaker and the Summerland Art Club for the use of their tables.
It was remarkable to realize the impact the first Ryga Festival has had on the growing spoken word scene in Summerland and around the Okanagan. I can’t wait to see what the 2017 festival will bring. The biggest thanks to all the storytellers (gosh, you’re swell).
