Dear Editor,

Agur Lake Camp Society would like to extend our sincere gratitude and send a heartfelt thank you to MLA Dan Ashton for working tirelessly on behalf of Agur Lake Camp.

In March the camp received $36,000 in provincial gaming grant funding to be used on direct services to its guests.

The funding will be used this season towards salaries, planning, communication and scheduling costs in addition to the direct services also provided to our guests at the camp. Mr. Ashton is always available to answer questions whenever we need advice and we truly appreciate that.

Agur Lake Camp is the only camp in B.C. that offers barrier-free access to the wilderness. It is a unique place for rest, rejuvenation and family time for people with disabilities whose access to nature is limited.

Without these funds and the support of the provincial gaming grants, Agur Lake Camp would not be able to operate from year to year.

We thank you for all the support you have provided to Agur Lake Camp Society.
