Cairns, William Lloyd, born Nov. 30, 1916, passed into the presence of his Lord Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Bevan Lodge, in Abbotsford, BC. He was 92 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Connie, in 2000, his sisters Eva and Edna, Lloyd is survived by his children, Barbara (Ross) Hunter, Allan (Jackie) and Carol “Rusti” (Bill) Chalmers; his grandchildren, Dale (Andrea), Lorne (Judy), Keith (Diana) Hunter, Bonnie (Gerardo) Roth, Adam, Benjamin and Heather Cairns; thirteen great-grandchildren, Michael, Curtis, Kevin, Austin, Jessica, Joshua, Mariah, Christy, Jeremy, Stephanie, Jason, Brandt and Alyssa. He also leaves his remaining sisters, Pearl Waylett and Daisy Bailey, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Special thanks to the staff at Ebenezer Home and Bevan Lodge for the wonderful care shown to Lloyd during his stay there. Following a family graveside service, a Memorial Service was held at 11:00 am on Thursday, Nov. 26th at the Abbotsford Baptist Church. Pastors Murray Archibald and Bill Funk officiated. Due to Lloyd’s hearing impairment, audio equipment played an important part in his participation at church. Therefore, donations made in his memory to the church sound system fund would be most appreciated. “Only one life t’will soon be passed, Only what’s done for Christ will last”
