BORDAS, Raymond Charles

Our Ray left us on August 24, 2017. His laughter, smile, and getter-done attitude will always be with us. Ray was born in Penticton, BC and grew up on the family farm in Summerland, BC where he played minor hockey and was a boy scout. He loved his first job at the local bakery, worked for Pizza Hut throughout high school, and completed a pharmaceutical course, until deciding he needed to see the world. Ray drove for ILS hauling throughout North America for many years and then joined his Fort St. James family driving logging truck. Ray loved to cook and make wine. He was always a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.

Ray will be missed by his parents Joe and Bonnie, brother Matt, and sisters Patricia (Dan) and Allison (Chris) and their children. Also, grandma Marg Carter, aunt Joan Oliver (Troy), uncle Bruce Carter (Bev), cousins Brayden, Mitchell, Michael, and Sydney; his Fort St. James family Aunt Irene Gramm (Elmer), cousins James (Terri), Lisa (Steve), and Kevin (Diane) and all the Gramm cousins. Ray would have wanted you to gather your friends and family around a campfire to enjoy a few laughs. Interment will take place at Canyon View Cemetery, 10316 Canyonview Road, Summerland, BC on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
