Patricia Almyra Gauthier. After a valiant effort and with her loving family by her side, Patricia (Pat) passed away peacefully August 28, 2009, at the age of 69. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband and best friend Gislain (Jess), son Dean from Osoyoos, grandson Kyle, his wife Kirsten and great-granddaughters Emma and Jayden - all from Caroline, Alberta. Pat is also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat and Jess worked together in their accounting business and made many friends throughout their years in Clinton and Summerland. Her love of life, sense of humour and compassion touched the hearts of all who knew her. Pat loved her crafts – she was an accomplished knitter, seamstress, doll and bunny maker and of course, her real fur bears. She was a perfectionist in her art and many friends and relatives have received a “Patricia original” from her Tucker Treasures workshop. Her greatest pride and joy was her family and making things for her 2 great-granddaughters. She loved being a Gramma. Prayers will be held at Holy Child Catholic Church, 14010 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00pm followed by Funeral Mass on Friday, September 4th, 2009 at 11:00am with Father Ferdinan Nalitan presiding. Interment to follow at Canyon View Cemetery, Summerland. Memorial tributes may be made in Patricia’s honour to the BC Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6H 2K2.
