Dunn, Mary, born December 1, 1919 in Grand Forks, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2007 in the Summerland Extended Care at the age of 87. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary Lou Dunn of Summerland and son Roland Dunn of Kamloops; four grandchildren, Mathew and Kristina Dunn both of Kelowna and Tristan and Mariah Dunn both of Kamloops; two sisters, Betty (John) Greschner of Osoyoos and Catherine Harfman of Osoyoos and brother Anton (Alma) of Midway. She was sadly predeceased by her husband John Dunn in 1991 and sister Net Boyo. Mary enjoyed her farm life with John in Summerland. She also enjoyed visiting family and friends, reading, sewing, knitting, painting, traveling, playing bridge, gardening and cooking. Mary belonged to the Rebecca’s Kiwanis and the Royal Canadian Legion in Summerland. Her humor, kindness and generosity will not be forgotten. A Celebration of Mary’s Life was held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church 9311 Prairie Valley Road, Summerland. Interment will take place beside her husband John Dunn in the Rose Garden of the church. In lieu of fl owers memorial tributes may be made directly to the 4-H Club of Canada.
