Marion May Kean (nee Nickols)
Marion passed away peacefully January 17, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her children Rob (Rosemary) Kean of Kelowna, BC and Cheryl (Kelly) Skjeie of Kamloops, BC, grandchildren Josh and Amanda Bronk, Kelsey Becker, and Shanna Kean; and great grandchild Ethan Bronk. She was predeceased by longtime partner Ken Anderson.
Marion loved teaching, travelling, golfing, bridge and volunteering in the community. She came to Summerland in 1947 to teach at MacDonald School and taught for 32 years in town. She touched the lives of many in her community and will be missed dearly.
The Funeral Ceremony was held 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Summerland United Church, 13204 Henry Rd., Summerland, BC with Reverend Armand Houle officiating. There will be a private family interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Summerland United Church Ladies Auxilary, 13204 Henry Ave., Box 155, Summerland, BC V0H 1Z0.
