Joan Evelyn Morley. It is with great sadness and love Joan’s family announces her passing on March 15, 2010, in Penticton, BC. Joan is survived by her children - Peter Morley, Jacqueline Rerick, Barry Morley and Neil Morley, her brother Cyril, of Australia, her sister, Irma, of England, 10 grand-children, 7 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Tasha. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Ernest Morley, in 1996. Joan was born in Ipswich Suffolk, England on December 31, 1920 and came to Canada in 1957. A few years after her husband’s passing, Joan moved with her daughter to Summerland, BC. Joan’s love and fond memories will live in us always until we meet again. We will never forget you. Joan would never say Good-bye, so “Cheerio” everyone! The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrie, and the wonderful staff at The Hamlets. Services will be held at Summerland Funeral Home’s Rosedale Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, B.C. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2 p.m with Reverend Rick Paulin officiating. Burial to take place the following day in Mission, BC, where Joan will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Clarence.
