Jessie Isobel Impett, a resident of Summerland since 1948,
passed away in her sleep March 20, 2017, ending a lengthy
and courageous struggle. She will be remembered and
sadly missed by Don, her husband of 65 years, son Ralph
of Coquitlam, daughter Janice of Summerland, brother Bill
(Betty), nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her
parents Grace and Andrew Turnbull, and siblings Alice,
Eileen, Jean, and Jack.
Jessie was given only weeks to live at birth, but she beat the
odds and has done so several times along the way. roughout
her life she considered the needs and comfort of others ahead
of her own. She always put herself last. Whether acting as
wife and mother, or a part of the family business, Jessie was
a quiet force ensuring everything worked together and ran
smoothly. She enjoyed nature and loved most living things.
She had a passion for colours and naturally embraced creative
and artistic leisure activities.
Jessie and her family wish to sincerely thank Dr. Krabbe, Dr.
Julien, Dr. Bannerman, Dr. Wilson, Pat, Caroline, and Dr.
Naude. Endless thanks to Bob ompson, her Emergency
Care provider and also to Summerland Home Care nurses
and therapists, and Penticton Healing Touch – Sheila, Doreen,
Sue, and Lynn.
She never wanted to be the centre of attention, so the family
held private services. In memory of Jessie, please consider
