May 1, 1950 - July 1, 2016
After a brief illness, Jeff passed away at home. He was predeceased by his parents, Wes and Elizabeth, and his sister Maureen. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Elspeth and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jeff left the Okanagan for brief periods of time to work in the Queen Charlottes, on Vancouver Island, and in Alberta, but he always returned to his favourite place, the Okanagan. Here, he worked in construction and in the orchards. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, going into the hills to gather firewood, gardening, reading and sitting outdoors on the family property enjoying the view of Okanagan Lake.
The family wishes to acknowledge Ian Thompson and to thank him for being such a good friend to Jeff.
A memorial gathering will be held for Jeff on September 11, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. in the Rosedale Room at the Summerland Legion, 14205 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, BC.
