Frederick H. Colburn of Summerland, BC died peacefully at home in his 98th year with family and loving wife of 67 years, Phyllis by his side. Survived by his wife Phyllis, children: Patricia Ann (Daniel) Kilgore of Arizona; Judy (Warren) Scott of Penticton, BC; Fred (Peg) Colburn of Delta, BC; Phyllis (Blair) Hall of Richmond, BC. 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters: Maisey of London, England; Walley (Doris) of London, England; Pat (Dick) of Australia; Gwen of Australia. Sadly predeceased by brothers Horace & Robert and sister Jenny. “Red” immigrated to Canada in 1930 from England. Served in the Canadian Seaforth Highlanders, Corp of Engineers during World War II. Retired in 1976 to Summerland after working 35 years at UBC. Special thanks to Barb and Dawn of Summerland Home Support for their care and kindness. Dad was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A celebration of Frederick’s life will be held at a Private Family Service.
