SHEELEY, Elaine, January 4, 1942 - October 23, 2009. Elaine Sheeley of Warilla, Australia, passed away peacefully at the age of 67, on October 23. She is survived, and will be greatly missed, by her daughters Lisa and Angie, grandchildren Zach and Aimee, Calgary, Alberta, brother John (Keren), sister-in-law Shann and many good friends and family in Australia. A former resident of Summerland, Elaine will be remembered as a person who approached life with great humour, zest, and enthusiasm. She loved her family, friends, animals and plants. She was a natural athlete and active participant in tennis, racquetball and squash at Lakeshore Racquet Club. Elaine’s bright spirit and infectious laughter touched many lives. She would have wished for no sad songs, and it is hoped that a gathering of friends, and a sharing of best memories, will be held at a later date. A memorial service will be held in Warilla, on Friday, October 30th, in care of Hansen and Cole Funeral Directors.
