Donald John Munro

Don Munro passed away on December 23, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Don was born in Saskatoon, SK on November 24, 1940. Don will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Peggy Munro, daughters Cheryl Munro, Kim (Jon) Levy, Alison McKenzie, grandchildren Nicole Levy and Erin Levy, sisters Donna (Norm) Petreman, Karen Cassidy, Gail (John) Brooks, along with nieces and nephews. Don was sadly predeceased by son Craig Munro and wife Terry Munro, also parents Andy & Helen Munro. Don raised his family and built his career in Kenora ON, where he went on to be Police Chief for the city. Don enjoyed fishing with a passion and loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Don moved to Summerland, BC in 1994 when he married Peggy and went on to have 16 wonderful retirement years enjoying the same activities. Don will be sadly missed by his loving family and many wonderful friends. Don is remembered for his terrific sense of humour and compassion for others.
