David John BJERKNESS of Summerland passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2007 at the age of 71 years with his daughter Sherry by his side. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Jean, 6 children: Peg, Butch, Beverley, Jack, Sherry and Lori, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way, 12 siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. John, "Papa," was known for his calm demeanor and his playfulness with children. He lived with his family until his passing and he will be truly missed.
