CYRIL WILLIAM MURRAY

June 25, 2016

Cyril Murray passed gently away in his sleep on the morning of June 25, 2016, his 90th year. He taught art at Penticton High School until 1992, when he retired. He had a lifelong love affair with soccer and taught many of his pupils how the game was played as well as playing himself until well into his seventies. His love of the outdoors led him into fly fishing and he enjoyed many fishing trips with friends. Cyril had a great appreciation for the history of his adopted country and spent many days exploring that history with his late friend, Bill Barlee. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Janey, sons Stewart, James, Paul and Roderick, grandsons Duncan, Will and Angus, the lads at the Penticton Legion as well as a large extended family in Scotland. Cremation has taken place. No service at Cyril’s request.
