Caroline Rose Smith went to be with the Lord on November 16th, 2010 at the age of 71 years. Born in Fort Nelson, BC, Caroline will be fondly remembered as a wife, housewife, school craft teacher and a super baker. She passed away in Kelowna Hospice House after a three year courageous battle with cancer.
Caroline will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by husband; Gordon Smith of West Kelowna, BC, children; Radford (Margot France) Smith of Port Hardy, BC, Monica (Ken) MCMillan of Lower Post, BC, John Smith of Fort Nelson, BC, Kevin (Debbie) Smith of Fort St. John, BC, Melanie (James Downton) Smith of Summerland, BC, Karen (Troy) Read of Fort Nelson, BC, grandchildren; Daryn, Trevor, Genessa, Ashlyn, Gordie, Bonnie, Tyrell, Chantelle, Deneen, Joey, John Jr., Lawrence, Deborah, Cameron, Candice, Kendra, Braedin, Jennifer, great grandchildren; Jorden, Erik, Treyden, Isaiah, Arianna, Brady, Nathan, Jordan, sisters; Julie Tweed, Judy (Dan) Duchesne and numerous nieces and nephews.
Caroline was sadly predeceased by her parents; Archie and Rose Gairdner, parents in law; Roy and Vernice Smith, grandchild; Erie McMillan and brother in law; Barry Smith.
A Celebration of Life was held on November 20th, 2010 at the Holy Child Catholic Church in Summerland,BC with Father Ferdinan Nalitan Celebrant, followed with interment in: Canyon View Cemetery, Summerland, BC.
