Audrey Irene JOHANSON

Audrey Irene Johanson, born December 13 th, 1919 in Melfort Sask. passed away peacefully on September 8 th, 2007 in the Summerland extended care unit at the age of 87. Audrey was pre-deceased by her parents Katie and Rupert Brown. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband Norman Johanson of Summerland, daughter Cheryl Jaeger of Summerland, son Dale Johanson (Lesley) of Cranbrook and only grandson Tyler Jaeger (Jaclyn) of Westbank. Surviving sisters Olive Caldwell (John, deceased) of Summerland, Lola Collins (Dan) of Bellingham, Washington and Marion reid (Irving) of Sardis. Two brothers Lloyd (Betty, deceased) of Nanaimo, Arnie Brown (Edna) of Burnaby, and many nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Bea Christianson (Louie) of Seattle and Helen Christianson (Norm) of Burnaby. Audrey and Norman were married August 14 th, 1946 and celebrated their 60 th anniversary last summer with family and friends. A celebration of Audrey’s life was held Wednesday, September 12 th, 2007 at Hanson’s Funeral Chapel. The family of the late Audrey I. Johanson would like to thank Dr. Le Bel, Trinity Care, Kelly Care and Extended Care for making her last months as comfortable as possible. Thank you to John at Hanson’s Funeral Chapel for arranging the service and for their courtesy shown to the family. Many thanks to Pastor Rick Gay for offi ciating at the Memorial Service and for his kindness and sense of humour.
