ANNE PARISH

Anne Elizabeth Parish (nee Schlosser) of Summerland, BC, passed away peacefully at Penticton Hospital on December 27th, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Lovingly remembered by her family: children Barry (Peggy) of Coquitlam, BC, Brian (Pat) of Kamloops, BC, Chris (Marlene) of Summerland, BC, Mike (Tracey) of Toronto, ON; grandchildren Shaun Parish, Kim (Brendan) McAlpine, Lora (Brad) Kilba, Gerald (Carlin) Parish, Christine (Don) Blakey, Greg (Sarah) Parish; great grandchildren Jacqueline Kilba, Josephine Parish, Nolan Parish, Adella Parish, Eva Parish. Sadly predeceased by husband Gerald Parish, grandson Jason Parish, six brothers, four sisters. Anne, her husband Gerald and their four sons moved to Summerland in 1960. Anne worked at the packing house until she retired. She was an avid gardener – well known for her beautiful flowers. Her other hobbies included knitting, baking and canning. She also collected stamps for cancer and had a great love for sports and classical music. Her greatest love of all was her four boys and their wives, her seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Child, 14010 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., with Celebrant Father Bennett. Interment will follow on Monday, January 10th, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., Canyon View Cemetery, 10316 Canyon View Road, Summerland, BC. Memorial tributes may be made to BC Heart and Stroke or the Jason Parish Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1189 Brisbane Ave., Coquitlam, BC, V3J 5K9.
