NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX SALE

Pursuant to Part 16 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that the properties listed below, on which there are unpaid delinquent taxes, will be sold at the 2023 PROPERTY TAX SALE.

These properties may be withdrawn from the Tax Sale upon payment of delinquent taxes, plus interest from January 1st, 2023 to the date of payment. The payment must be made by cash, certified cheque or money order and must be received at Municipal Hall prior to 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 25th, 2023.

The Tax Sale will be conducted in the Council Chambers of the District of Summerland, 13211 Henry Ave, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25th, 2023.

At the time of the bid, successful bidders are required to deposit cash, certified cheque or money order with the Collector, to an amount being no less than the upset price of the property offered for sale. Failure to pay the balance immediately afterthe tax sale willresult in the property being offered for sale again at 10:00 a.m. on the following day.

The District of Summerland makes no representation express orimplied as to the condition or quality of the properties being offered for sale. Prospective purchasers are urged to inspect the properties and make all necessary inquires to municipal and other government departments, and in the case ofstrata lotsto the strata corporation, to determine the existence of any bylaws, restrictions, charges or other conditions which may affect the value or suitability of the property.
