UPDATE: Man shot in West Kelowna

Emergency crews responded to reports of shots being fired on Saturday.

UPDATE: July 17

A Okanagan man is recovering in hospital following a shooting in West Kelowna on Saturday.

The incident happened on a property off Old Okanagan Highway about 1:45 p.m.

Police arrived on scene to discover a man suffering from a gun shot wound to the leg.

He was transported to hospital.

Officers are now looking for two suspects in connection with the shooting, described as

  • Caucasian man
  • athletic build
  • short dark hair
  • Caucasian female
  • 5 foot 6 inches tall
  • 180 pounds
  • brown hair

The suspects departed in an older model SUV. Police believe this was a targeted attack.
