Police are investigating overnight thefts on Nov. 13 from two Okanagan Falls area wineries.

The incidents are believed to have happened sometime between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. at Wild Goose Vineyard & Winery on Sun Valley Way and Liquidity Wines on Allendale Road.

Cpl. Ted Manchulenko said video at Wild Goose showed two suspects arrive on the property in an SUV, one of them getting out of the vehicle and stealing a blue Ford F250 truck and the attached Sure Trac flatbed trailer.

At Liquidity, the winery itself was broken into and wine taken along with a Polaris ATV which was parked outside the building.

“I don’t know if the two are related but I would highly suspect that they probably are,” said Manchulenko. “I know that wineries have been targeted before and because of their remote locations it’s pretty difficult even for the owners even to keep an eye on things.”

Both matters remain under investigation.
