While the snow is gone from the Summerland Reservoir, there is still some snow remaining at Isintok Lake, one of two sites used for snow pack measurements for the community.

The latest readings, taken May 15, showed a snow depth of 160 millimetres, or the equivalent of 47 millimetres of water.

This is 76 per cent of the historical water equivalent for this site at this date.

The historical average water equivalent for the date is 62 millimetres.

Summerland records snow measurements each month from January until May, and twice a month in May and June, or until there is no snow remaining.

The snow depth is measured at 10 locations for each measurement site.
