Space 42 is hosting a one-day sneak peek into the full Cannabis Today: Penticton Unconference on Dec. 6 at Orchard House

The purpose of the event is to kickstart discussions about the present and future cannabis space. Attendees will also have an influence over the agenda of the full conference, which takes place in spring 2019.

“(One goal is to) bring visibility to the investment and job opportunities, available resources, and untapped potential of the space,” reads the event invite.

“Encourage everyone, from the general public to those with significant industry influence, to participate, support and advocate.”

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes lunch featuring a keynote speaker, who will be announced at a later date.

Blake Laven, City of Penticton planning manager, will also be in attendance to deliver the opening keynote.

Discussions will focus on three topics: legal, cultural and economic trends; next steps and agile business planning; capital markets and cannabis: the present and future of fundraising; and cannabis in Canada: is there still room to invest?

For more information about the event or to register, visit their EventBrite page. Tickets are $35 each plus a fee and there are sponsorship opportunities available as well.
