Emergency crews pulled a woman from her flipped SUV Wednesday morning following a bizarre incident.

According to witnesses on scene a woman was paying for a car wash through her vehicle window at Skogie’s Auto Spa on Underhill Street, when she got back into the driver’s seat and started towards the exterior wash.

That is when the SUV accelerated at a high rate of speed across a lane and towards a light standard, according to another driver at the car wash.

The vehicle hit the light standard and flipped onto its side just missing several other vehicles and people.

The woman was placed on a stretched and rushed to hospital.

No one else was injured in the incident.

Firefighters had to carefully remove a dangling light from the pole the SUV hit, as it appeared it may have fallen onto the crowd.

It’s unclear what caused the woman to accelerate her vehicle. She was the only occupant inside.
