The City of Pentiction is asking boaters to stay in bounds and away from planes that are fighting the Thomas Creek Wildfire.

Air tankers are using water from Skaha Lake to fight nearby fires and having boats blocking planes’ landing spots can hinder the fire fighting efforts. Boaters are asked to be mindful of aircrafts and stay away from the spots where they are refilling.
