Police are looking for two armed men who robbed the Foodland grocery store on Westminster Avenue about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

A video from the in-store surveillance camera showed the two entering the store, one appearing to be holding a weapon.

Police say one was armed with a large knife and the other had a hatchet. A store employee pushed the hold up alarm button to alert the RCMP.

There were other people inside the store at the time and two turned away from the till area and went into another section of the store.

According to Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth of the Penticton RCMP the pair escaped with a small amount of cash and cigarettes. They were seen leaving in a rusted, red station wagon or older model Jeep Cherokee.

The investigation is continuing as police review the video footage.
