Talk Show to come to Summerland stage

The show features stories, music and conversation, with Erick Thompson as the event’s emcee

Erick Thompson will bring his entertainment variety show, Talk Show: One Stage at a Time, to Centre Stage Theatre in Summerland next month.

The show features stories, music and conversation, with Thompson as the event’s emcee.

During the show, he will interview television and film actor Roark Critchlow and theatre director, writer and arts educator Heather Davies.

Storytellers Sophia Jackson and Christopher Millin, along with visual artist Jenny Long will also be featured.

Music will be provided by the Tavis Weir group. The trio includes Weir, Stefan Bienz and Michael Treadway.

“Talk Show provides an opportunity to engage in genuine conversation on the stage, while showcasing interesting, creative talent,” Thompson said. “The show was inspired by an eclectic mix of storytellers including David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres and Lenny Bruce.”

Tickets for the show are available at Rock Star District in Summerland and The Grooveyard in Penticton.

The show will be held Aug. 1, beginning at 7:05 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
