The Summerland Ornamental Gardens will hold its spring plant sale on the weekend of May 4 and 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The plant sale will feature a wide variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables, tomatoes and drought-tolerant plants. Master gardeners will be available to offer advice.

A workshop, Okanagan Gardening for Newcomers, will be held on both days from 1 to 3 p.m. with Kathryn McCourt.

There will also be an artisan market, concession and products from local nurseries.

The plant sale is an annual fundraiser for the Friends of the Garden Society, to preserve and maintain the gardens.

The gardens are at 4200 Hwy. 97 S, across from Sunoka Provincial Park.
